Fall Dance Class Schedule 2008-2009

Start another year with us and celebrate our 30th year!  We have exciting teachers and many things planned for the new season. We have some new teachers that we are very excited about as well as the great teachers that have been at Miller’s for many years.  We are offering many time slots for working parents and performance opportunities throughout the year for children to participate.  They can take advantage of our ballet “Sleeping Beauty” in Aurora or “The Polar Express” in Parker this fall season.  Come join us for a fun filled dance experience!!

Early registration for all locations.  August 4th through August 28th. Monday through Thursday 4:30-7:30pm and Saturday from 10:00am to 12:00 noon.

Miller’s Fall Ballet Presents “Sleeping Beauty”

Miller’s Dance Studio will present our fall ballet “Sleeping Beauty”. This is a great way to open your holiday spirit.  Children in BCD through Level 8 may participate.  The younger children will not need to audition.  The level 1-8 will need to audition for placement parts.  Fall Ballet details

Parker Youth Ballet presents “The Polar Express”

Audition/placements are open to all area dance students ages 5-18.  Auditions will consist of Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Hip-Hop.  All dancers will be placed in a part.  Rehearsals will be held each Saturday beginning on October 4th.  All rehearsals will be held at Miller’s Dance Studio, Parker location.  Rehearsals will be held between the hours of 1-5pm depending on part.  Dancers will receive exact rehearsal times the day of auditions/placements.  Parker Youth Ballet details

Mommy & Me/Munchkins Session’s

An introduction to dance for our very youngest dancers. Ages 18mos. - 3 year olds are invited to attend a 6 or 7 weeks session of “Mommy & Me” and “Miller’s Munchkins”. These classes are structured to stimulate coordination skills, listening skills, balance, music interpretation, creative movement and motor development in the youngest dancers. This program is an excellent introduction to the world of dance. No registration fee required for these classes only. 2007 Fall Ballet - “The Nutcracker”

We closed out the 2007 year with our annual Fall Ballet. It was a beautiful and moving performance of “The Nutcracker.” Thank you to all the dancers, parents, volunteers and to Miller’s staff for a great year.

Miller’s dance studio does a full length fall ballet every year. We produce “The Nutcracker” every third year. Other performances that Miller’s has produced in recent years include Coppelia and Cinderella. We feel that it is important to do other productions in their full length so that our students get a well-rounded knowledge of ballets. This gives our students a better experience and adds to their dance training and understanding of ballet.

Ballroom Dancing

If you are preparing for a wedding, anniversary, a trip or just want to learn Ballroom, we have the classes for you. Darline Miller teaches all ages from beginners to advance in a group or privately.  There are no contracts and you can schedule lessons around your time frame.  Please call 303-353-2789 to get started on an enjoyable experience. 

Step Brothers, Cher, Caesar’s Palace

Catch Miller’s Tyne Stecklein in the movie, Step Brothers, opening on July 25th!  Also, have you been to Vegas lately?  Tyne is a dancer for the new Cher stage show at Caesar’s Palace!  After sold out audiences during the opening in the month of May, the show resumes on August 6th and runs through September.  While she is on break from Cher, Tyne is in rehearsal as a principal dancer for another performance of Soul Escape Dance Company, directed by Justin Giles.  We are so proud of her!

Tap the Map “The Ultimate Tap Road Trip”

TAP the MAP is the ultimate road trip. This trio of tap dancers is changing the dance convention industry with their unique approach. Three guys pull up in a van, walk in and put on a TAP show with live percussion, and then give a workshop to the students. The workshop classes offered include Theater TAP, Rhythm TAP, Tricks & Slides, and Hip-Hop. The students also get the opportunity to be a part of an improv jam with the faculty.
